Wearing its inspiration on its sleeve, Bozos was inipired by the hilariously unapologetic films from the early-mid 2000’s like Stepbrothers, Superbad, Tropic Thunder, The Hangover, Pineapple Express, and Clerks, yet seamlessly standing on its own, and defining its individuality by remaining true to its roots. Bozos delivers cult classic originality, and given the current climate, stands in a class of its own. The film is a testament and means of escape, it doesn’t demand much from the viewers, and it doesn’t shove its views and opinions down their throats either. Bozos is here to make you laugh and remind the world that comedy comes in different shapes and flavors, and it should never be taken seriously. It’s comedy.
Bozos ushers in and represents the coming of a new era in filmmaking; the transition into the Golden Age of Cinema. The film reminds movies and movie viewers alike, that movies are movies, and should be enjoyed thusly. The culmination of hilarious story beats and dialogue exchange, coupled with the absurdities, twists, turns, and exigent demands that this tastefully offensive buddy comedy accomplishes, is a refreshing and nostalgic experience executed in a familiar fashion that has long been forgotten.
